TGU Granville School is a K-12 School in rural North Dakota. We encourage our students to drink a lot of water during the day to hydrate their body and mind. The water supply in the community is adequate, many of our students and staff drink the water from our fountains. However, over time the fountain systems have out dated. The installation of bottle fill stations would allow students to save money by refilling the bottles the purchase or bring from home. Due to the old style that we currently have, this is not an option. We have two physical buildings at our school site, that is why we are requesting two fill stations, one for the elementary and one for the high school.
We also encourage our students to be aware of the environment in which we live, and the amount of waste that is generated.. We have recycling stations set up around the school. By having refill stations in our school, we would save on the amount of waste we generate. Trying to teach our students to be green is so important to their future. By having a refill station with in the school setting. Students would be able to refill bottles between classes or transitions.
Myself, my staff and my students would love to see a bottle refill station for our school, it would benefit everyone in our school! If you have questions, please contact me.
